Spiky Woofs began with a little Bichon Frise named Spiky.
Spiky was part of my life for 16 years. He passed away in 2026, but the years I spent caring for him shaped the way I think about dogs, their needs, and the responsibility that comes with sharing a life with them.
Spiky Woofs carries his name forward.
Today, Spiky Woofs is a practical dog-care newsletter for everyday owners who want clearer information about caring for their dogs.
The goal is to make subjects such as behavior, nutrition, health, grooming, safety, breeds, and life stages easier to understand without making everyday dog care more complicated than necessary.
There is already an overwhelming amount of pet information online. Some of it is useful. Some of it is confusing, contradictory, or difficult to put into perspective.
Spiky Woofs is designed to take a calmer approach.
The focus is on practical guidance that helps you better understand your dog, recognize what matters, and make more informed decisions about everyday care.

Why Spiky
Spiky was a Bichon Frise with a big personality packed into a small dog.
Like every dog, he had his own habits, preferences, quirks, and needs. Living with him for so many years was a reminder that good dog care is rarely about following one perfect set of rules.
It is about paying attention, learning, adapting, and understanding the individual dog in front of you.
Naming this project Spiky Woofs is my way of keeping that connection at the heart of everything I create.
